Why do we need photographic ID?

The YMCA welcomes school groups, sporting groups, colleges amongst a few. The YMCA want to provide a safe environment for all our guests, as a result we have decided to implement the request for photographic ID to those that wish to stay within our hostel.

All guest aged 18 and over must show proof of identity that matches the name on the booking or the name of a guest on that booking.

All identification should be held up by the member of staff to check the name is present on the booking.

  • Where a guest is unable to produce photographic ID; 2 forms of ID that are not photographic can be used. These forms of ID must have been issued by a central issuer i.e. credit/debit cards. This is not accepted for walk in bookings.
